A functional treat with chicken, fish oil, fibre from apples and beetroot, and psyllium for the prevention of trichobezoars, with an irresistible taste.
Grooming the coat by licking is a natural behaviour in cats and serves to clean the coat. While grooming, a cat swallows a large amount of hair, which can form trichobezoars (hairballs) in the stomach. Trichobezoars can cause vomiting, and if sufficiently large, they may obstruct the intestine. Fish oil helps prevent the formation of trichobezoars, while fibre accelerates the passage of swallowed hair from the stomach into the intestine.
